A sudden invitation from my dad was a “life saver” from what I thought was another weekend of wallowing. my brother an I immediately accepted the invitation and went to visit him and our other relatives in Angeles, Pampanga. It was a day of pure Galvez and Vitug genes. We only have this big reunion every 2 – 5 years or every time Lolo Rudy and Lola Girlie would come and visit us here in Manila (since they’re based in the US). It was another night of catching up and of course… singing. Most family member from my dad’s side loves to sing and we’d always have a “magic sing” or a videoke rented for the reunion.  We just finished the May 2009 IQA conducted by the organization’s engineering group. I must say that I lacked reviewing for my scope and role. I’ve been busy making all the participants ready except for me… Yay… I’m praying for just an observation. I never had finding for the project since I started handling my current role. The interview approach by the auditor was different and plus, she knows the project better since this would be her second time to conduct the audit. I really hope it’s just an observation.

Yes, it’s payday! Time to budget the well deserved pay. I’m thinking of a getaway weekend with my mom and then another with my dad. Hay, there’s just so many things I wanted to buy like a new cellphone, watch, red jeans perfume, camera, laptop, plane ticket to somewhere, haha… But I have priorities and bills to pay… Phone, water, electricity, cable, credit card bills, groceries, amortizations, equity to my new place. I sometimes wonder how I am able to pay for all these with my salary. Miracle? Probably… I need a partner for life and hear me rant about these, who’ll entertain me and celebrate everyday miracles with, someone I’ll swear to love, and never give me a reason to cry… except if it’s a “laugh ‘til I cry” moment, haha…

longest ym status for today: Even though I’ve gotten used to everything that makes you so wonderfully, so lovably you… I still think about how lucky I am and how much I love you. It’s a habit I just can’t break!

This quarter’s award is “work life balance”.  The award title already says what it is about. For those who are wondering… Yes, I do have life apart from work. Recognition such as this is one culture that I like about the project. This gives everyone a chance to recognize and be recognized. Aside from the gift certificates, the winners were also given a token for their recognition. This quarter, the token was a plate… J

Seemed like I didn’t learn the first time. For this year’s summer outing, I (again), volunteered to be part of the committee. It was tough doing something on top of the regular tasks on my plate. I almost lost patience in coordinating with people and being passed around a lot. Then it was over. I was tired the whole time. Good thing that I had my bro and some guests who kept me in check. I missed meyng for some reason, well, for obvious reasons…

 

Hello Potipot. It was a long ride from Makati to the cute island of Potipot in Zambales. Meeting place and time: MSE bldg @2:00am. I was again part of the same group as the Pinatubo trip (Ei, bro, Mark. Mardi, Bonna, and four new friends). We rode a van and I was asleep at around 90% of the time. At 7:30am we were at Isla Vista resort where we parked and had breakfast and cooked food for lunch. At 9:00 am, we headed for that small island called Potipot. It was another long ride, kidding, it just took us a 3min boat ride from the resort. The island was really cute; it took me 30minutes to walk around it. It was a good day to swim. It was hot but the water is calm and inviting…J

 

  I  also fell for a really cute guy named Pepper. Thanks to the owner who allowed me to take pictures of him…J
